Description
Historic Churches of Barbados, Second edition follows a much smaller first edition published by Art Heritage Publications, Barbados, in 1984. It evolved from notes of the architect Barbara Hill, intended for a grant application to study local church architecture.
This edition is greatly expanded by Professor Henry Fraser, with more church history and a much more in-depth analysis of Barbadian church architecture. It is also expanded to include Methodist, Moravian and Roman Catholic Churches, as well as the splendid Nidhe Israel Synagogue with a new suite of splendid Mike Toy photographs.
